In Demand To Pitch Free MLB Extra Innings Preview3/27/2009 5:52 PM Eastern
In Demand Networks will step into the batter's box with a free preview of Major League Baseball's out-of-market package next month.
Cable's content and pay-per-view purveyor will give customers a free look at the 2009 MLB Extra Innings package from April 6 through April 12. Those customers connecting with the package before the latter day will get a $30 discount off its $199 price, reducing the 2009 fee to $169.
The 2009 MLB Extra Innings package on digital cable will include up to 80 out-of-market games each week throughout the regular season. Returning this year is the popular "dual-feed" telecast. Whenever possible, In Demand said it will provide two local market broadcasts of the same game so that fans can choose which telecast they want to watch. Select systems throughout the country will also be offering games in high-definition, delivering up to 12 games in the enhanced format weekly (varies by system).
Among the cable operators offering the package via In Demand this season: Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks, Cablevision Systems, Bresnan Communications, Charter Communications, Midcontinent and a number of independent MSOs.
Residential customers or commercial establishments can "Order Now" by calling 1-888-SPORTS-iN or their local cable provider.
