Dinallo Jumps To ADB From Pace

Advanced Digital Broadcast announced that Chris Dinallo, formerly vice president of technology for set-top box supplier Pace Americas, has joined ADB's U.S. cable team as vice president of product management.
"We are very pleased to have Chris join the ADB team," said Tim Schermerhorn, senior vice president and general manager of ADB's Americas cable group. "His strong technical background in set-top product development and his experience leading a team that penetrated the U.S. cable market will be extremely valuable."
Dinallo spent eight years at Pace, where he led technology initiatives in including set-top box development, technology strategy, intellectual property rights and U.S. government mandates like CableCard. Prior to that, he worked for voice-over-IP technology developer NetSpeak; Oak Technology, a developer of CD-ROM technologies; and IBM.
Dinallo holds four U.S. patents related to digital media, and has applied for a fifth that is DVR-related.
Geneva, Switzerland-based ADB has deployed more 11 million set-top boxes across high-volume markets, incorporating different middleware, conditional access and hardware technologies.
