SANTA MONICA, CALIF. — Time Warner
Cable of New York City,Bright House
Networksand Service Electric Cablevision
systems have launched GSN’s new
GSN HDhigh-definition service.
These are the first announced affiliates for GSN HD, which launched on
Sept. 15, and make the channel available
to 3.5 million subscribers, the network
said. Dennis Gillespie, senior vice
president of distribution at the network,
said in a release, “We are pleased to see
such strong interest right out of the gate
for GSN HD, and anticipate that we’ll continue
to see continued robust growth for
the service in the coming months.”
GSN (with about 75 million subscribers)
is owned by DirecTV and Sony
Pictures Entertainment.
