HDNet will air the HBCU All-Star Classic football game from Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans live, exclusively and in HDTV, the network said Wednesday.

The HBCU All-Star Classic was created with the goal of raising the profile of top pro prospects from historically black colleges and universities.

Coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. (EST) with a pregame show featuring the top three New Orleans public high school bands, followed by kickoff at 5 p.m.

“It is truly an honor for us to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by showcasing some of the country's finest college athletes, exclusively on HDNet,” chairman Mark Cuban said in a prepared statement.
