Kuhn Communications Joins Big Ten Network Team

Kuhn Communications, Inc. became the latest distributor to ink an affiliate pact with Big Ten Network.
Deal terams were not disclosed, but the distributor, serving customers in Cumberland, Franklin and Perry County, Penn., will position BTN on channel 33, starting Sept. 1.

Earlier this week, BTN announced that it had added Atlantic Broadband to its distribution roster.

The launch will give Kuhn subscribers access to the network's coverage of at least four Penn State football games this season, including the first three contests of the season -- Sept. 5 vs. Akron, Sept. 12 against. Syracuse and Sept. 19 matched with Temple, as well as at least one Big 10 conference game.
"We're really very pleased that our customers are able to get the Big Ten Network," said CEO Earl Kuhn. "South Central Pennsylvania is obviously Big Ten country, and I expect the Big Ten Network to become a popular destination for our customers very, very quickly."
Noted Penn State director of athletics Tim Curley: "We are excited that more Penn Staters in Pennsylvania will have access to the Big Ten Network as the new school year gets underway. There are more than 14,000 Penn State alumni in the area served by Kuhn Communications and they are loyal and enthusiastic followers of the Nittany Lions."
