Mediacom Inks HDNet, HDNet Movies

Mediacom Communications Corp. said Wednesday that it has reached a deal to offer HDNet and HDNet Movies to its HDTV subscribers.

The MSO said it will begin rolling out the two HD networks during the first quarter.

Subscribers will need HDTV sets, Mediacom HDTV set-tops and subscriptions to the Mediacom HD service tier.

"We are pleased to offer our viewers the great mix of news, entertainment and sports programming that can only be seen on HDNet and HDNet Movies," Mediacom executive vice president of operations John Pascarelli said in a prepared statement.

"With the addition of these two dedicated HD networks, Mediacom’s HDTV customers can now enjoy a wide variety of live and original HD productions 24 hours a day, seven days a week," he added.
