NCTA's Powell To Keynote 2013 SCTE Leadership ProgramWeeklong Program to Run April 28-May 3, 2013, at Dartmouth College 10/08/2012 12:04 PM Eastern
The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers and Dartmouth College’s Tuck School Business announced that National Cable & Telecommunications Association president and CEO Michael Powell will be the featured guest presenter at the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program, which will run April 28-May 3, 2013.
The weeklong event will be held at the Tuck School of Business on Dartmouth’s Hanover, N.H., campus. The admission fee is $10,250 per person.
Powell served as chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from 2001 to 2005 and was an FCC commissioner for eight years. He was named head of NCTA in March 2011.
The SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program is designed to help C-level executives and other senior managers develop leadership skills to create and implement business and technology strategies.
“Michael Powell’s insights will complement the critical thinking and leadership skills learned at SCTE-Tuck, so that our executives can better make the technology and business decisions that serve the public good and drive our industry forward,” SCTE president and CEO Mark Dzuban said in a statement.
The application deadline for the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program is March 15, 2013.
The SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program and a companion initiative, the SCTE-Georgia Tech Management Development Program, have attracted more than 120 executives from the industry in their first two years, according to SCTE.
