Boca Raton, Fla. -- Pace Micro Technology plc has introduced a new all-digital set-top box that would be priced in the $110 to $125 range.

Pace’s DC515 set-top, showcased at the Society for Cable & Telecommunications Engineers’ Cable-Tec Expo in Orlando, Fla., this past week, includes a Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification cable modem and has the capability to deliver VOD and interactive guides.
The digital signaling gateway (DSG) box is an U.S. version of a set-top Pace developed for Spanish cable operator Ono, which uses Motorola conditional access, said Pace president Michael Pulli, and is in response to U.S. cable operators’ next-generation architecture plans.
