SeaChange Sales EVP Goldfarb Departs

SeaChange International, a provider of video-on-demand and advertising solutions, said executive vice president of worldwide sales and services Ira Goldfarb will leave the company effective Friday to "pursue other interests."

Goldfarb, an 18-year veteran of the company, recently informed SeaChange that he wanted to pursue other interests, spokeswoman Tammy Snook said.

"We think highly of Ira and recognize his contributions both to SeaChange and the industry," SeaChange CEO Raghu Rau said in a statement. "We are eliminating the position of worldwide sales leader because we are moving to a regional structure and Ira assisted in the succession planning."

SeaChange disclosed Goldfarb's departure in an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, in which the company said it had "terminated" his employment.

In addition, SeaChange disclosed that it has elected Steve Craddock, formerly senior vice president of technology at Comcast Cable, to its board of directors with a term to expire at the 2013 annual meeting.

Goldfarb joined SeaChange in August 1994 as vice president of its central region, ascending to the rank of executive vice president of worldwide sales and services in October 2010. Before joining SeaChange, he held several sales management positions at Digital Equipment Corp. from September 1983 to July 1994.

In the past year, several top executives have departed SeaChange, including founder, chairman and CEO Bill Styslinger, who left the company in November 2011; president Yvette Kanouff, now executive VP of corporate engineering and technology at Cablevision Systems; and chief financial officer Kevin Bisson.

Rau, a former Motorola executive and SeaChange board member since 2010, was named permanent CEO effective in May 2012.
