Sherita Ceasar Gets Women In Tech Award

Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Cablefax named Sherita Ceasar the winner of the 2014 Women in Technology Award.

Ceasar, vice president of national video deployment engineering for Comcast Communications,will receive the award during SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, Sept. 22-25 in Denver.

The award, sponsored by Bright House Networks, was created in 1995 to recognize and honor leading technology professionals. It annually acknowledges the achievements of one woman who has demonstrated outstanding personal and professional growth and significantly contributed to the cable telecommunications industry.

Stephanie Mitchko-Beale, chief technology officer at Cross MediaWorks, received the award in 2013. Other past recipients of the award include Jennifer Yohe Wagner, Susan Adams, Leslie Ellis, Barbara Jaffe, Cyndee Everman, Carolyn Terry, Vicki Marts, Charlotte Field, Nomi Bergman, Marcie Anderson, Christy Martin, Sabrina Calhoun, Margaret Gaillard, Sally Kinsman, Sheri Sharp, Yvette Gordon-Kanouff, Pam Nobles and Pam Arment.

Ceasar, a senior executive with more than 30 years in the telecommunications industry, at Comcast is responsible for the overall vision, direction, and management of all National Engineering and Technical Operations video deployment projects including cross-company initiatives, infrastructure projects, technical launch management validation, and readiness for service activation. Herdeployment scope spans core video systems, guides, iTV, cross-platform applications and video-on-demand content and back office infrastructure.
