Time Warner Cable plans to launch a new on-demand music-video channel in May as part of an effort to cross-promote parent company AOL Time Warner Inc.’s AOL for Broadband and Road Runner high-speed-data products.
The digital-cable channel, called My MC, will contain AOL for Broadband music content, including weekly concert series and music videos from BMG, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group.
Time Warner also announced plans for AOL for Broadband and Road Runner to promote each other’s services.
Road Runner will add samples of AOL content and an “AOL Channel” on its home page, and America Online Inc. said it will promote Road Runner through its AOL High Speed Internet Options service.
