World Fishing Network Reels In Charter Rollouts In Nine States

WFN: World Fishing Network is casting its net further with Charter Communications.

The dedicated 24-hour fishing lifestyle channel will gain entry to more than 2 million of the operator's customers in nine states during July and August.

Network officials said WFN will roll out on Charter digital-cable systems in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana.

The rollouts follow WFN's launch with the operator in Minnesota last year on the Charter Sports View tier.
Charter customers can call 1-888-GET CHARTER for more information regarding WFN.

"Charter is pleased to expand our carriage of WFN into our cable systems in these states, once again providing special interest programming for our customers' enjoyment," said Charter director of communications John Miller in a statement. "Charter is committed to building long-term, satisfying relationships with our customers by providing services they want and enjoy. WFN offers programming that adds value to our service, and also responds to requests from our customers."

Noted WFN president Mark Rubinstein: "Since consumers have had the chance to experience the wide variety of fishing programming available on WFN, it has become obvious that there is a demand for more diverse programming for anglers. We are delighted that Charter recognizes WFN as the best option to satisfy the underserved community of sport and leisure fishing enthusiasts in these fishing hotbeds."
In addition to Charter, WFN counts Verizon's FiOS TV, Dish Network and a number of smaller distributors as affiliates.
