AMC's Revives 'The Killing' with Two-Hour Return on June 2

Third Season Will Resolve New Storyline over 12 Episodes 3/29/2013 7:22 PM Eastern
AMC will give the revived The Killing a two-hour premiere on June 2 at 8 p.m.

As has been previously reported, the third season will focus on an entirely new storyline and will be resolved by the season's two-hour finale.

The 12-installment third campaign introduces a new case and is set a year after the Rosie Larsen investigation featured in the first two seasons was closed with Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) no longer a detective. Linden, though, is drawn back when Stephen Holder's (Joel Kinnaman) search for a runaway girl leads him to several murders tied to the investigation she led.

"We learned so much from the first two seasons of The Killing and are thrilled to be bringing it back with the elements that the fans loved," said Charlie Collier, president and genera manager of AMC.
