'American Horror Story' Return Scares Up 3.85M Viewers

Second Installment of FX Franchise Up 21% over Debut 10/18/2012 11:31 AM Eastern
The premiere of FX's American Horror Story: Asylum got off to a strong start on Wednesday, drawing 3.85 million total viewers, according to Nielsen fast nationals.

That was a gain of 21% over the miniseries' debut last year. Asylum also improved in key demos, up 37% 2.78 million persons 18 to 49 and 50% to 1.78 million persons 18 to 34.

Among Madiso Avenue's favored 18-to-49 set, the 10 p.m. episode also out-delivered broadcast offerings Nashville and Chicago Fire and ranked second in the hour behind CSI.
