AT&T U-verse Joins Laker Networks in 'TV Everywhere' Arena

AT&T U-verse will become the seventh affiliate to offer TV Everywhere access to Time Warner Cable’s pair of Los Angeles Lakers-centric regional sports networks.

Tipping on Oct. 28 -- just in time for the start of the 2013-14 NBA season -- authenticated U-verse subscribers will be able to watch programming on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes,  including live Lakers, Los Angeles Galaxy and Sparks contests, both inside their homes and while on the go via varied devices.

After authenticating,  the telco’s subscribers in the networks’ home territory not only will be able to watch Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes on their televisions, but via the  networks’ websites (www.twcsportsnet.com and www.twcdeportes.com via the “Live” and “En Vivo” tabs) and on iOS and Android tablet and mobile devices via the mobile applications titled “TWC SportsNet” and “TWC Deportes.” The apps are available in the iTunes store and on Google Play.

With the TVE launch, U-verse customers will be able to watch the Lakers’ first regular-season game on the different devices when Los Angeles visits Golden State on Oct. 30

The two Time Warner Cable Sports channels were the first RSNs to regularly live-stream NBA team action within their home market, when they presented Lakers’ action during the 2012-13 campaign.

This season, AT&T U-verse joins Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Cox Communications, DirecTV, Verizon FiOS and Hawaiian Telcom in the RSNs' TVE arena.  Video customers to those distributors also can watch the networks on computers or mobile devices after they log in with their password to verify their subscription.

Access to on-the-go viewing is determined by the television provider and is limited by geographic location in accordance with the NBA’sand Major League Soccer’s broadcast territories and other rules.
