Bravo iOS App Unleashes TV Everywhere Features

Bravo has added authenticated TV Everywhere components to the Bravo Now app for iOS devices that  will offer on-demand access to the latest five full-length episodes of several current shows, the network announced Monday.

The TV Everywhere pieces, expected to be extended to Android devices in the first quarter of 2014, have been merged with Bravo Now’s existing second-screen capabilities, including exclusive video clips, interactive trial and polls, a program guide, and a “co-viewing experience” that helps viewers to monitor Bravo-related topics trending on social networks.

The following distributors currently have access to the app’s new TV Everywhere component: Comcast, Verizon Communications, Suddenlink Communications, Cablevision Systems , Dis Network, Mediacom Communications, Charter Communications, WideOpenWest (WOW), AT&T and Cox Communications.

Bravo didn’t immediately say when the app will offer authenticated access to its live TV feed, but the network did note that the additions announced Monday are the first in a series of updates that are on the way.

“We’re continuing to explore ways to enhance how viewers consume our content and interact with their favorite show storylines on mobile, and will be focused on building out the companion viewing features within the app over the coming month,” Lisa Hsia, EVP of digital for Bravo and Oxygen, said in a statement.
