Cable Nets Back NYC TV Fest8/29/2005 7:51 AM Eastern
A planned festival to showcase independently produced TV pilot shows has picked up more sponsorship support, from network groups NBC Universal and MTV Networks and from Fox Broadcasting.
A&E Networks and Rainbow Media Holdings LLC’s AMC, The Independent Film Channel and WE: Women's Entertainment were already sponsoring the event, to be held at various Greenwich Village locations Sept. 28-Oct. 3.
On Oct. 1, Fox will screen an unaired episode of Arrested Development -- “as a model of the type of innovative programming the festival is seeking to promote in its artists” -- and MTVN’s TV Land will supply vintage TV clips, classic commercials, the original interstitial comedy series 60 Second Sitcoms and two upcoming originals from TV Land Productions.
