Comcast's thePlatform Adds An Exec, Promotes Another

thePlatform, the Comcast-owned video publishing company, has hired John Frankovich to vice president of consulting services, and promoted Chris Drake to VP of business development.

Frankovich, a founder and former CEO of pro services firm Vortex Consulting Partners, will head up thePlatform’s international consulting team and report to COO and CFO Jamie Miller Frankovich has also served as CEO and co-owner of Ramp Technology Group, a company focused on interactive design software product engineering, and SVP of Capgemimi, a global management consulting and technology outsourcing company.

Drake, who will continue to report to SVP of sales and marketing Marty Roberts, most recently was executive director at thePlatform, heading up global business development efforts and pay-TV business strategy and sales. Before joining thePlatform, he was director of marketing and strategic relations at RealNetworks.

Some of thePlatform’s biggest operator customers include A+E Networks, BT, Cablevision Systems, Comcast, Cox Communications, Liberty Global, Rogers Communications and Time Warner Cable.
