Cuba Gooding Jr. To Portray O.J. Simpson In FX Series

Actors Cuba Gooding Jr. and Sarah Paulson will star in FX’s upcoming anthology series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

The Academy Award-winning Gooding (pictured) will portray Simpson, the pro football star who stood trial in the mid-1990s on charges of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Paulson, who is currently starring in American Horror Story: Freak Show, will portray prosecutor Marcia Clark, said network officials.

Series creator Ryan Murphy will also serve as executive producer along with Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski and Dante Di Loreto. The series is based on The Run Of His Life: The People V. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Tobin.
