E! Entertainment Television is running a local sales-incentive program that will award 150 cable systems chances to win trips to Los Angeles for the Emmy Awards and merchandise in exchange for running cross-channel promos for E!’s Live from the Red Carpet coverage.
The program is only available to systems with at least 30,000 subscribers, E! said. The first 150 systems that sign up will earn points that are redeemable for digital cameras, audio players, mountain bikes and other gifts.
In exchange for running a minimum of 300 Live from the Red Carpet taggable cross-channel spots for E!, each cable system will get two tickets to the Emmys. The prize package includes round-trip coach airfare to Los Angeles, three nights in a hotel, a rental car, a makeover at a Beverly Hills salon, a chauffer-driven car to the show and dinner for two at a “trendy” restaurant in Los Angeles.
E! said the systems could use the trips as incentives for employees, or they could award them to advertisers or subscribers.
