Emmys 2017: 'Last Week Tonight With John Oliver' Repeat Winner for Outstanding Variety Talk Series

HBO's Last Week Tonight With John Oliver was a repeat Emmy Award winner in the Outstanding Variety Talk Series category.

Last Week Tonight With John Oliver outlasted competition from Full Frontal with Samantha Bee (TBS), Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC), Real Time With Bill Maher (HBO), The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (CBS) and The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS) to take home the coveted statuette.

The series also won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series, besting Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, Late Night With Seth Meyers (NBC), The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and Saturday Night Live (NBC), which won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.
