Epix Names EVP, Content Distribution

Epix, the premium network J.V. of Viacom, its Paramount Pictures unit, Lionsgate and MGM Studios, has named former BBC exec Sandy Ashendorf to the post of EVP for content distribution.

Ashendorf will be based in New York, head up distribution for Epix across all platforms and report to Epix president and CEO Mark Greenberg.

She joins Epix from BBC Worldwide America, where she was EVP of distribution, and previously spent more than 17 years at Viacom in various leadership roles, including EVP of affiliate sales and marketing for MTV Networks. One of 13 Multichannel News "Women to Watch" in 2013, Ashendorf has also served as a consultant to media companies and started her career as a corporate associate at Rubin Baum Levin Constant & Friedman.

Ashendorf is a graduate of New York University and Cardozo Law School, and sits on the board of directors of the T. Howard Foundation and Women’s Project Theater.
