ESPN Provides Complete Coverage of NCAA Baseball Tournament

Programmer Will Present Every Game for First Time Via Myriad Platforms 5/31/2013 9:11 AM Eastern

Following record-setting regular-season coverage, ESPN for the first time will present every game of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship on one of its platforms.

The slate of up to 153 contests on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and broadband service ESPN3 -- almost double last year’s potential schedule of 83 contests -- includes complete coverage from all 16 regionals sites, up to 112 games from May 31-June 3 for the first time; all eight super regionals sites, as many as 24 games from June 7-10; and the entire 2013 College World Series, potentially 17 games from June 15-26). Every game will be available on WatchESPN.

ESPN will also launch Bases Loaded, a four-day platform providing unlimited live cut-ins and highlights from numerous games, plus up-to-the-minute commentary from ESPN analysts each day of the regionals. Akin to the ad hoc college football’s Goal Line and college hoops Buzzer Beater services, Bases Loaded will be available Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, from 2 p.m. (ET) to midnight; Sunday, June 2, from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.; and Monday, June 3, from 6 p.m. to midnight. ESPN3 will carry the network in its entirety while ESPNU and ESPN2 will simulcast at select times, including between games and rain delays when time permits.

Kyle Peterson will serve as the analyst on all four days of Bases Loaded. Dari Nowkhah and Anish Shroff will share its hosting responsibilities.

This year, ESPN platforms combined to show more than 200 regular-season games, plus 70 conference tourney tilts.
