2/08/2006 5:11 AM Eastern

ESPN announced the on-air team for Monday Night Football when it debuts on the network next season.

The three-man announcing booth will include Mike Tirico, Joe Theismann and Tony Kornheiser, with sideline reports from Suzy Kolber and Michelle Tafoya.

ESPN also announced that Mike Breen will be its new lead National Basketball Association play-by-play announcer, teaming up with analyst Hubie Brown for ABC telecasts beginning Feb. 12 and including the NBA Finals.

Kornheiser is a co-host of ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption, along with Michael Wilbon, and ESPN said PTI will air from the MNF site on Mondays.

Al Michaels, MNF’s play-by-play voice since 1986, will not return, with published reports saying he will join NBC and that network’s National Football League coverage.
