ESPN Scraps Barry Bonds Show

After a dispute with representatives of Barry Bonds, ESPN said Friday that it won’t produce any new episodes of its controversial Bonds on Bonds show, starring the home-run slugger.

The program, featuring Bonds chasing the home-run record amid allegations of steroid usage, was produced with Tollin/Robbins productions.

“Bonds' representatives wanted creative control for the final episode, which Tollin/Robbins Productions and ESPN have been unwilling to give throughout the project,” ESPN said in a prepared statement Friday afternoon.
