Cable networks won four of 44 Daytime Emmy Awards during the creative-services portion of the program Saturday night.

30 Minute Meals with Rachael Ray scored as the best service show for Food Network. That would appear to make its host a front-runner for an Emmy during the televised portion of the program, which will air live on ABC April 28.

Food also won an Emmy for best direction of a service show, for director Natalie Gustafson of Easy Entertaining with Michael Chirarello.

Reality Matters: Teen Sexuality on Discovery Health Channel was named best special for youth, and actor James McDaniel won an acting award for his work in Edge of America on Showtime.

America Online Inc. was the winner in a new category, outstanding achievement in content on nontraditional platforms, for streaming the Live 8 rock concert.

PBS won the most Emmys at the ceremony, with 12. Syndicated shows won 10; CBS nine; ABC four; Food, NBC and Kids WB two each; and Discovery Health and Showtime one each.
