When it came to "Election Night 2013" coverage, Fox News Channel more than doubled the combined delivery of its cable news competitors.
Fox News Channel averaged 2.7 million total viewers and 593,000 among adults 25 to 54 news in primetime on Nov. 5, according to Nielsen data.
MSNBC was second on Tuesday night with both 1.04 million viewers and in the so-called news demo, with 244,000 of the those watchers. CNN was third with 664,000 total viewers and 224,000 in the demo.
During the 9 p.m. hour, when the Virginia Governor race was called, FNC's The Kelly File scored with 2.87 million viewers and 654,000 viewers in the demo; that was the show's best mark with the demo since its Oct. 7 debut.
MSNBC's Rachel Maddow placed in both measures at 9 p.m. with 1.27 million total viewers and 313,000 adults 25 to 54, while CNN's Piers Morgan Live showed in third with 734,000 and 239,000, respectively.
