FX Nabs 'Straight Outta Compton' TV Rights

FX Networks didn’t waste anytime in securing exclusive TV rights to the hit theatrical film Straight Outta Compton.

The movie, which drew $60.2 million at the box office this past weekend in its premiere run, will have its exclusive TV premiere on the suite of FX Networks including FX, FXX, FXM and FXNOW, said company officials.

Straight Outta Compton, which chronicles the rise of the 1990’s rap group N.W.A., joins other recent FX theatrical film acquisitions including Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation, Minions, Jurassic World and Furious 7, said network officials.
