GolTV to Air Brazil-Sweden Soccer Friendly on Aug. 15

GolTV will air the final game at Stockholm's Rasunda Stadium -- a commemorative rematch of the 1958 World Cup final won by Brazil over Sweden.
The match is slated to air on Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. (ET) on the hybrid dedicated soccer service, which provides feeds in English and Spanish.
The game is the fourth stop on the Gillette Brazil Tour, following the June 9 clash between Argentina and Brazil, which netted the 18-to-49 ratings in network history for an international FIFA match.
"Continuing preparations leading up to the 2014 World Cup, the Brazil friendly against Sweden provides GolTV's passionate viewers the fast-paced and exciting soccer they demand featuring some of the world's best teams," said Rodrigo Lombello, COO, GolTV.
Brazil will keep is current silver medal Olympic squad, including Newmar, for the match vs. Sweden. Joining the squad for\ the showdown are: Ramires, David Luiz, and Oscar who are also likely to participate in the 2014 World Cup in Rio de Janiero.
Soccer icon Pele, who scored a pair of goals in Brazil's 5-2 win 54 years ago to help secure its first World Cup triumph, is among a number of players from that game who will be on hand at Rasunda. Sweden-Brazil will be the last match played at the venue, which is slated to demolished.
