Gospel Believes the Hype

Gospel Music Channel will debut hip-hop gospel show Hype & Glory Fridays at 11 p.m. (EST), the network said Thursday.

Hype & Glory is being developed by Open Rivers Pictures.

“We are searching all corners of the earth to find the best hip-hop gospel talent to feature on Gospel Music Channel, including both male and female show hosts that will bring unique aspects of hip-hop culture to the channel,” Open Rivers CEO and executive producer Tammy Johnson said in a prepared statement.

“We’re also seeking out top graffiti artists, spoken-word poets, break-dancers and emcees, as well as DJs that aren't afraid to turn up the heat when it comes to a little friendly competition,” she added.
