The Inspiration Networks and humanitarian agency Convoy of Hope teamed up to help victims of Hurricane Charley in Florida.

The programmer and the group brought more than 1 million pounds of water, food, clothing, bedding and other supplies to a central distribution site.

INSP said more than 50,000 local residents were aided by the emergency relief efforts.

“This relief effort is a byproduct of the partnership between The Inspiration Networks and Convoy of Hope,” INSP CEO David Cerullo said in a prepared statement.

“We share a concern for helping people in need," he added. "These relief efforts demonstrate why this partnership is so important. These people need our ongoing help. We will be in Florida for at least another month, extending a helping hand, offering hope.”
