International Channel Tells The Cupertino Story

8/23/2004 9:45 AM Eastern

International Channel will premiere the latest installment of its In America specials, this time focusing on the Asian-American community, early next month.

The network will bow The Cupertino Story Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. (EST/PST), and the show will be screened in various locations around the country as part of IC’s public-affairs campaign, “We the People.”

Produced for IC by Echo Pictures, The Cupertino Story focuses on the growing political influence of the Asian-American community by putting the spotlight on the Silicon Valley town of that name, where nine of the 28 locally elected public officials are Asian Americans, along with approximately 50% of the city’s population.

Over the past three years, the In America specials have focused on Chinese, Asian-Indian, Russian, Vietnamese and Arab immigrants, and those installments will be reaired, along with Cupertino, throughout September.
