Jerry Bruckheimer To Develop Scripted Series for Spike

Spike TV will team with film/television producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Horizon Television to create a new scripted drama series, the network announced Friday.

The series, Harvest, will center on a father who turns to a life of crime to protect a dark family secret, said network officials. The series marks the network's frst scripted series deal with a major studio and its first scripted project with Bruckheimer (CSI, Bad Boys).

Harvest is written by Ian Sobel & Matt Morgan (12 Monkeys,From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), with Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman serving as executive producers and KristieAnne Reed as co-executive producer.

Harvest follows Spike's upcoming summer mini-series Tut on the network's scripted series ledger. The network recently announced script options for The Crusaders, Deep Web,The Chairman, Red MarsEmergency Broadcast and War at the Shore.
