Cable veteran Jim Liberatore has been named president of Fastball, the new sports-entertainment company that holds the rights to Cleveland Indians Major League Baseball games.
Liberatore -- whose resume includes executive-leadership roles at Speed Channel and the regional sports network now known as Sun Sports -- will oversee the entire operation, with a first priority to gain carriage for the yet-unnamed service.
Fastball -- controlled by Larry Dolan’s family, which owns the Indians -- has the rights to 150 regular-season games.
