Lifetime Adds Still Standing

CBS sitcom Still Standing will join Lifetime Television’s lineup in September 2006, the network said Thursday.

Lifetime acquired the exclusive cable syndication rights to the series -- which stars Jami Gertz and Mark Addy -- from Twentieth Television.

Still Standing joins the network’s other new acquisitions: Will & Grace (September), Frasier (March 2006) and Reba (August 2006).

Still Standing is one of television’s most popular newer sitcoms since premiering in 2002, and it has performed well this year for CBS as the 8 p.m. lead-in to the network’s Monday-night powerhouse sitcom lineup,” Lifetime Entertainment Services executive vice president and general manager Lynn Picard said in a prepared statement.

“With its witty blend of family humor and marital discord, we feel that the series will resonate well with our audiences,” she added.
