Lifetime To Air `Flowers In The Attic' Sequel On Memorial Day

Lifetime will air the sequel to its successful original movie Flowers In The Attic on Memorial Day, the network officially said Tuesday.

Petals On The Wind, based on the second novel of the iconic V.C. Andrews series about the beleaguered Dollanganger family, will premiere May 26 at 9 p.m., said network officials. Flowers In The Attic, which stared Heather Graham (Drugstore Cowboy) and Ellen Burstyn (Political Animals), drew 6.1 million viewers in its Jan. 18 premiere, the most watched made for cable movie so far in 2014.

Lifetime is also developing three additional V.C. Andrews’ books, including If There Be Thorns,Seeds of Yesterday, and My Sweet Audrina, said network officials.
