Lifetime Sets Britney Spears Biopic

Lifetime will explore the life of pop star Britney Spears in a new docu-movie set to debut in 2017, the network announced Wednesday.

The tentatively titled Britney, the movie will detail Spears’ rise to fame, fall from grace and eventual triumphant resurrection, said network executives. Lifetime will begin production next month in Vancouver for a 2017 premiere on Lifetime.

Asylum Entertainment will produce Britney, with Steve Michaels, Jonathan Koch and Joan Harrison serving as executive producers, said the network.
