MavTV Bolsters Sub Base with Independent System Launches

MavTV is buttressing its subscriber base, having added 16 new affiliates over the past two months.

The independent network began rolling out on CenturyLink PrismTV in 11 markets. The standard- and high-definition versions of  the service are positioned on channels 147 and 1147, respectively, on Prism TV Preferred package in Orlando, Fort Myers, and Tallahassee, Fla. Raleigh, N.C., Columbia and Jefferson City, Mo., Lacrosse, Wisc., Las Vegas, Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Colo. and Omaha, Neb.  

In addition to Prism TV, since August 1, MavTV, which trades on its American Real programming strategy, has rolled out on HTC Communications, Waterloo, Ill; Polaris Cable Services, Presque Isle, Me.; Three River Telco, Lynch, Neb.; Comstar Cable, Pickrell, Neb.; Tongue River Communications, Ranchester, Wyo.; HBC, Winoa, Minn.; Hydaburg Cable TV, Anchorage, Ak.; Citizens Cablevision, Higginsville, Mo.; Nemont Communications, Scobey, Mont.; MCT Cable, Middleton, Wisc; Haefele TV, Spencer, N.Y.; Nittany Media, Lewiston, Penn.; Beaver Valley Cable Co, Rome Penn.; and Kennedy Cablevision and County Line Cablevision in Georgia.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
