Mega TV, WRNN Sign Affiliation Deal

Mega TV, the SBS-owned
television network, has secured carriage in the New York City market via Kingston, N.Y., station WRNN.

Effective March 1, the
Spanish-language network will be available on the Rise Television-owned station
via multicast (channel 48.2), on Time Warner Cable of New York City (channel 92) and on Verizon FiOS TV (channel 466) in
areas where WRNN is carried.

The agreement, terms of which were
not disclosed, follows Mega TV's debut earlier this year on small stations in
four markets: it launched on KM Communications' WOCK in Chicago, Right Hook Media's KODF in Dallas, Cocola
Broadcasting's KSDI Fresno and Local HDTV's KLPS Palm Springs.

With these rollouts, Mega TV
is now available in 11 markets, reaching over 6.5 million households in the U.S. and Puerto
Rico and a coverage of an
estimated 30% of Hispanic households. Mega TV officials told Multichannel News that a verbal
agreement has been formalized with a Houston station and an announcement should be made soon.

During
a virtual press conference held Jan. 11, Mega TV executive vice president
Cynthia Hudson hailed the network's programming and anticipated more in-house
productions by leveraging the radio talent and producers from its Mega radio
property.
