MetroCast Rolls Out Music Choice Play

MetroCast Communications has launched Music Choice's interactive service throughout its footprint.

Music Choice Play, the 24/7 linear music video network that gives viewers content control, is now available to MetroCast digital, expanded- basic subscribers in New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Alabama and Mississippi. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“MetroCast is pleased to provide our customers with fresh, engaging content through Music Choice Play,” said MetroCast senior vice president of programming Linda Stuchell-Leibert.  “The network adds real value to our customers’ video subscription, while providing opportunities for interaction through social media and convenient viewing options across multiple platforms.”

Metrocast joins AT&T U-verse, Cox Communications, Verizon FiOS, Suddenlink and RCN, among other distributors, that are offering Music Choice Play, which offers a full web, mobile and second-screen experience at play.musicchoice.com.  The website features a live stream of the network, the ability to submit video to control the network, and a substantial social presence.  Music Choice Play also has dedicated mobile apps that enhance the viewing experience. Users can create and star in video dedications, vote for the next video to play, and even takeover their own show.
