NFL Network Fills Sales Roster

NFL Network has added some depth to its sales roster.

The National Football League’s cable service said Wednesday that it has hired Chicago-based Intersport -- which creates, produces and distributes original sports-programming content for sponsors and advertisers -- to help bolster its sales efforts in time for the league’s 2005 season.

Karen Marriott has also joined the team in the newly created post of West Coast account manager. She had been with MTV Networks.

“Adding Karen and Intersport is akin to adding the top two available free agents to your football team,” NFL director of media sales and NFL Network national sales manager David Pattillo said in a prepared statement.

In other NFL Network news, the channel will give fans an all-access pass to eight different NFL training camps in August on new series Inside Training Camp.

Inside Training Camp will air Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the month beginning Aug. 2 at 8 p.m. (EST/PST) with the New York Jets.

Other teams to be featured are the Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks and one other club that has not been determined yet.
