No Mystery: Sleuth to Debut Jan. 1

It’s a mystery no more: NBC Universal’s new crime-and-suspense channel, Sleuth, will showcase a number of pilot episodes from venerable genre series when it bows Jan. 1.

NBC U executives said that when Sleuth is unveiled on New Year’s Day, viewers will be able to relive the first installments of such series as The A-Team, Knight Rider and Simon & Simon, followed by a seven-hour marathon of 1980s hit series Miami Vice.

NBC U is pitching Sleuth as a triple package play, combining the service’s standard-definition, HD and video-on-demand content in a digital bundle.

Time Warner Cable has already signed on to carry Sleuth, according to NBC U.
