Novak Leaving CNN for Fox News

After a 25-year stint, Cable News Network host and commentator Bob Novak is leaving the news channel to work for its archrival, Fox News Channel, officials said Friday.

Novak will serve as a contributor for Fox News starting Jan. 1, according to a network spokeswoman.

Over the years, Novak has offered analysis for CNN shows such as Crossfire, The Capital Gang, Inside Politics, Evans and Novak, The Novak Zone and Novak, Hunt and Shields.

“Bob has also been a valued contributor to CNN’s political coverage,” CNN president Jon Klein said in a prepared statement. “We appreciate his many contributions and wish him well in future endeavors.”

The shows Novak was involved with have largely been canceled, and Novak hasn’t appeared on CNN since August.
