One World Sports Nets Cablevision Carriage Pact

One World Sports Network has an inked a carriage deal is now available to Optimum customers.

Positioned on channel 1159, One World Sports Network is being offered as part of Optimum International’s Japanese, Chinese and Korean packages, as well as a stand-alone addition for $2.95 per month to residential and commercial customers with a digital set-top box and subscribe to Broadcast Basic service and above. Financial terms were not disclosed.  

The international sports service presents soccer, basketball, baseball and golf from Asia, the Pacific and around the world. The network has rights to exclusive live and same-day coverage of top Asian soccer, including the Champions Leagues, Asian Cup, Japan’s J-League and the Chinese Super League.

In addition, One World has rights to FIFA 2014 World Cup Brazil Asian soccer qualifiers; the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Asian soccer qualifiers; AFC Champions League; Chinese Super League, home of former English Premier League star Didier Drogba; Australia A-League, Japan J-League and Korea K-League soccer; the Chinese Basketball Association with notable former NBA stars Tracy McGrady and Stephon Marbury; Japan’s professional baseball league; and the OneAsia Golf Tour.
