Pac-12 Networks Expands 'TV Everywhere' Playbook to iPhones, iPads

Authenticated Subscribers Can Access Pac 12-Now 10/19/2012 10:42 AM Eastern

Continuing its TV Everywhere expansion, Pac-12 Networks fare is now available on iPhone and iPod touch devices.

The Pac-12 Networks -- comprising a national feed and six sub-regional sports networks mapping the conference’s footprint -- are now available to subscribers on their iPhone and iPod Touch devices through the Pac-12 Now fan experience. The launches of iPhone and iPod Touch are the latest activations by Pac-12 Digital, which has already made network games and other athletic content accessible via iPad, Macs and PCs.

Pac-12 Now is available on the Web at and in the App Store for iPhones, iPod Touch and iPads. Pac-12 Digital worked closely with Ooyala on Pac-12 Now, which will soon be available on Android devices.

Pac-12 Now offers fans the ability to authenticate with their TV provider username to watch the 24/7 live Pac-12 Networks wherever they are. Additional features of Pac-12 Now app for iPhone and iPod Touch include: a programming guide for easy navigation to live and upcoming content; condensed games and other on-demand video; continuously updated editorial and feature video programming available to all fans; live scoreboard providing the most up-to-date scores; and TV provider support equivalent to those on iPad and Web.

“The launch of the Pac-12 Now app for iPhone and iPod Touch is a key component to our goal of providing fans access to Pac-12 Networks programming and content wherever they are,” said David Aufhauser, general manager of Pac-12 Digital, in a statement. “We’re proud to have produced a product that meets that standard and will continue to broaden our reach by creating more innovative and state-of-the art viewing experiences.”

Currently, Pac-12 has affiliate deals with Time Warner Cable, Cox, Bright House, Comcast, Dish, FiOS by Frontier, BendBroadband, Canby Telcom, Crestview Cable, Rancho Murieta, Suddenlink and TCT West, among others.
