New York— Procter & Gamble agreed to donate $250,000 to VH1’s Save the Music Foundation to help restore music-education programs in 10 public elementary schools this year.
Along with running P&G-tagged promos for Save the Music on VH1 and VH1 Classic, P&G plans to use August “brandsaver” coupon booklets to promote the effort, running photos from students involved in the project. The campaign will end in early October with a student concert in Cincinnati.
VH1 Save the Music was founded in 1997. The network says about $30 million of new musical instruments have been donated to 1,200 public schools in 80 cities.
