‘Scream Queens’ Scares Up Big Social Media Numbers

Fox’s Scream Queens may not have premiered with big TV audience numbers Tuesday night, but it killed on Twitter. 

The horror/comedy series starring Jamie Lee Curtis drew 416,000 tweets seen by a unique Twitter audience of nearly 4 million users to top all non-sports shows last night, according to Nielsen’s daily Twitter TV Ratings report.

On Tv, The two-hour series premiere of Scream Queens drew a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49, well short of ABC’s debut of The Muppets, which garnered a 2.8 raging in the demo.

The Muppets, which drew an impressive 8 million total viewers in its premiere last night, was second on the social media front with 43,000 tweets reaching 1.6 million Twitter members.

NBC’s The Voice, CBS’ The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Dancing With The Stars rounded out a broadcast dominant top five list, according to Nielsen.
