SeaChange, ThinkAnalytics Strike Global Reseller Pact

SeaChange and ThinkAnalytics have signed a global reseller agreement under which SeaChange will integrated ThinkAnalytics’ video search and recommendation engine with Adrenalin, SeaChange’s multi-screen video backoffice platform for cable operators and telcos TV providers.

SeaChange and ThinkAnalytics said they have already collaborated on deployments with major cable operators in the U.S. and in Europe, and are now in pursuit of new deals together.

Some of ThinkAnalytics’ larger customers include Liberty Global (including Germany’s Unitymedia and Virgin Media, the largest MSO in the U.K.,  BSkyB, Swisscom, Telenet, Zon, Canal Digital, and Cox Communications. Examples of ThinkAnalytics customers that overlap with SeaChange include Cox and Virgin Media.

"Multi-screen television content is going deeper and incorporating OTT, so rapid presentation of the right content amid limitless choices is more vital than ever for subscriber satisfaction," said George Kajos, general manager, platform business at SeaChange, in a statement.

"Working on this solution with SeaChange was a natural choice, as both companies have a history of working side-by-side in customer deployments around the world," added Peter Docherty, founder and chief technology officer of ThinkAnalytics.  "The solution enables delivery of more personal and targeted experiences, including multi-lingual, linear, VOD, OTT and sports content, across multiple screens for service providers around the globe."

The SeaChange-ThinkAnalytics deal is the latest in a string of reseller and product integration agreements between video vendors and companies that specialize in video search and recommendations.

ThinkAnalytics, for example, has a similar agreement in place with Cisco Systems. Last month, Arris announced it had integrated its Merchandiser content marketing platform for VOD with both ThinkAnalytics and Digitalsmiths.
