Showtime Not Silent About HIV/AIDS

Showtime will be Shouting Silent on African-American AIDS Awareness Day.

The network said Thursday that it will air Shouting Silent -- which explores the South African HIV/AIDS epidemic through the eyes of an adult orphan who lost her mother to the disease in 1996 -- Feb. 7 at 10 p.m. (EST/PST).

Among awards received by the film: the “Grand Jury Prize” at the Washington, D.C., Independent Film Festival and second prize at the San Francisco Black Film Festival.
