Sling TV Adds Spanish-Language Package

Bolstering its international streaming slate, Sling TV has launched Centroamérica, a regionally-focused Spanish-language package that sells for $10 per month as a standalone, or $5 per month when bundled with Sling Orange, Sling Blue or any other Spanish-language package from the OTT TV provider.

With a focus on networks from Central American countries such as El Salvador, Guatemala and Costa Rica, the new package features CB24, Centroamerica TV and Tele El Salvador. Those additions expand Sling TV’s Spanish-language offering to more than 60 channels, the company said.

Centroamérica will likely be one of the services that will highlight Sling TV’s coming integration on Comcast’s X1 platform. Comcast and Sling TV announced that deal, which will focus on Sling TV’s international channels rather than its core Blue and Orange packages, more than a year ago.

Dish Network, meanwhile, announced a handful of holiday-related offerings and promos that run through Jan. 1, 2018:

-Holiday Binge-A-Palooza: Unlimited access, at no added cost to eight networks: Hallmark (Channel 185); Hallmark Moves & Mysteries (Channel 187); AMC (Channel 131); BET (Channel 124); Cooking Channel (Channel 113); Food Network (Channel 110); getTV (Channel 373); and PixL (Channel 388)

-Holiday TV Calendar: A holiday-focused programming guide with dates, times and channel information for seasonal movies, TV shows and holiday specials throughout the entire month of December.

-Holiday Music Channels: 13 holiday music channels on SiriusXM and Dish CD, available to customers with a subscription to America’s Top 120 or above.
